Japan Cultural & Culinary Journey
8 days / 7 nights · June 6–13, 2027 · Tokyo, Hakone & Kyoto · Small group
Japan the way it was meant to be experienced — slowly, deeply, and with women who get it.
Japan has a way of stopping you in your tracks. A quiet temple path lined with thousands of torii gates. A steaming bowl of ramen on a rainy Tokyo night. The moment you step into a ryokan and feel the world slow down around you.
This 8-day journey takes you from the electric energy of Tokyo to the serene mountain landscapes of Hakone — where Mt. Fuji watches over volcanic valleys and traditional inns — and on to Kyoto, Japan's cultural soul, where geisha districts, ancient shrines, and centuries-old tea ceremonies feel like stepping into another world entirely.
Along the way, you'll cook with local experts, soak in onsen baths, dress in kimono, and share unforgettable meals with a small circle of women who showed up for themselves the same way you did.
We'll handle every detail. You just show up with an open heart.

Your Journey
Full Itinerary
Eight days of culture, culinary discovery, and connection — from Tokyo's electric streets to Kyoto's timeless temples.
Arrival in Tokyo
Touch down at Haneda Airport (HND) or Narita Airport (NRT), where your Japanese adventure begins. Upon arrival, your private driver will be waiting to escort you through Tokyo's dynamic cityscape to your hotel in the heart of the capital. After settling in, take time to refresh and ease into the rhythm of the city. This evening, gather with your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at a local izakaya, where you'll be introduced to Japan's vibrant culinary culture through shared plates and lively conversation.
We recommend departing the U.S. on June 5 to ensure arrival before 3:00 PM for the welcome dinner. Haneda Airport is strongly preferred due to its proximity to central Tokyo.
Tokyo: Tradition Meets Flavor
Begin your day in the historic district of Asakusa, home to the iconic Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo's oldest Buddhist temple. Stroll along Nakamise Street, where traditional snacks and artisan goods line the path leading to the temple. From there, continue to the lively Tsukiji Outer Market, where you'll enjoy a curated food experience sampling some of the city's freshest seafood and street food specialties. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace — perhaps browsing boutiques in Ginza, relaxing at a café, or simply soaking in Tokyo's energy.
Tokyo Culinary Immersion
Today offers a hands-on introduction to Japanese cuisine with a private cooking class led by a local expert. Learn the techniques and traditions behind classic dishes, then enjoy the meal you've prepared together. Spend the afternoon exploring Tokyo freely — wander through Shibuya, Omotesando, or Harajuku for shopping and people-watching, or return to your hotel to relax.
Your main luggage will be forwarded today to your Kyoto hotel, allowing for a seamless transition to Hakone tomorrow.
Hakone & Mt. Fuji Experience
Depart Tokyo for the scenic journey to Hakone, a region known for its natural beauty and views of Mount Fuji. Upon arrival, begin a guided exploration of the area, including Lake Ashi and the volcanic landscapes of Owakudani (weather permitting). On clear days, enjoy breathtaking views of Japan's most iconic peak. Later, check into your traditional ryokan, where you'll change into yukata robes and unwind in soothing onsen baths. This evening, savor a multi-course kaiseki dinner — a beautifully presented culinary experience highlighting seasonal ingredients.
Hakone to Kyoto
Enjoy a peaceful morning in Hakone before transferring to Odawara Station, where you'll board the Shinkansen bullet train bound for Kyoto. Arrive in Japan's cultural capital in the afternoon and check into your hotel. In the evening, embark on a gentle walking tour through the enchanting streets of Gion, Kyoto's historic geisha district, where lantern-lit alleyways and traditional wooden architecture create a timeless atmosphere.
Kyoto Cultural Immersion
Start your day at the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, where thousands of vermilion torii gates wind through forested hillsides. Later, step into tradition with a kimono dressing experience, followed by a professional photoshoot set against Kyoto's picturesque backdrops. Continue your cultural journey with a private tea ceremony, where you'll learn the mindful rituals and artistry behind this centuries-old practice.
Return to Tokyo & Farewell
This morning, return to Tokyo via Shinkansen, arriving before midday. After checking back into your hotel, enjoy a final afternoon of exploration — perfect for last-minute shopping, a visit to a museum, or simply relaxing. In the evening, gather for a memorable farewell dinner, celebrating the highlights of your journey and the connections made along the way.
Departure
Enjoy a final morning in Tokyo before your private transfer to Haneda Airport or Narita Airport for your departure flight.
